Saving a dog's life by vaccinating against rabies not only protects humans from this deadly disease but also allows us to experience the unconditional love and loyalty that only a dog can offer.

Rabies is fatal and 99% of human rabies cases are contracted through dog bites. So for the 59,000 human deaths that happen every year, tens of thousands of dogs suffer and die from rabies too. I therefore, pledge to end Rabies by 2030.

Rabies, transmitted to humans or animals, causes certain death. Despite all efforts, rabies continues to destroy lives every year. The rabies control strategy must be strengthened and consolidated on three essential measures:  Make vaccines and immunoglobulins intended for humans accessible;  Ensure that people who are bitten can receive treatment quickly  Implement mass vaccination for dogs . It is important to promote intersectorial work because human rabies cannot be eliminated without first eliminating canine-mediated rabies. Information, education and communication are also very safe means of prevention for the population.
