Fighting to ensure rabies free communities around or making sure free vaccination gets to dogs within the villages takes a lot of efforts. Sometimes going into areas where it's difficult to convince locals about rabies vaccination, you have to go up against odds , I would speak their language but sometimes they wouldn't want to see strangers but I have to look for someone who is a community member to help . The lives of the people in that community is very important and so I would do all it takes to vaccinate dogs in that area and also educate the people about rabies . . Sometimes I would walk for about 4 kilometres, under the sun in Nigeria because I have to save lives. In the end , it is worth it . It has become a part of my yearly routine and activities to join and embark on free AntiRabies vaccination program in Lagos . I have been playing my role as GARC certified for Six years and I would not stop until rabies is stopped.
